Life can be scary, confusing, or upsetting when you’re experiencing emotional, cognitive, and physical changes. You might even ask yourself, “Do I have a mental illness?” .

Mental disorders included in this mental health category affect not only your emotions but also your thoughts and your physical functioning. For instance, major depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorder, phobias, social anxiety and others. For me, it's okay to not be okay and as a human who live in same society and same world the important things is HOW WE TREAT THEM ? and accept them in our life. We have probably heard about mental illness and other terms of it before but, how much we know about these mental health conditions and about how they affect people?

In my opinion, understanding these conditions can help reduce fear and misunderstanding of mental illness and empower everyone with the knowledge on how to care for their mental health, and that of their loved ones❤️. I think individual or group talk therapy, sometimes in combination with medication to control drug cravings can help a person who have mental illness to deal with their problems. On the other hand, sometimes it's difficult to find out which mental illness may be causing your symptoms but, taking the time and effort to get an accurate diagnosis will help determine the appropriate treatment. Mental illness treatment is based on the type of mental illness you have. Nowadays, suitable treatment team are vital to deliver effective treatment to the mental illness patients. For example, family, physician assistant, psychiatrist , psychotherapist, primary care doctor, counsellor and others. We can see the success of modern treatment of the mentally ill compared to the past. The ancients used torturous and aggressive means against these mentally ill as shown in a movie entitled "Stonehearst Asylum".

Among the methods used are locking them up in jail, electric shock to the head, submerge head in the water, by poisoning them and many more. Previous era shown that, people don't have a knowledge and this field is not highlighted. What can I say is we should be grateful for the progress that our country is making now and there're many mental illness patients who have been successfully treated 🀩
